DR VODDERS MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE: Vol2 Therapy
[Ref: 04083]
£20.00

Author: Ingrid Kurz

Number of Pages: 100

Cover: Paperback

Manual Lymphatic Drainage according to Dr Vodder is characterized by massage with slow rotating and careful pumping movements of the hand and thumb, thus stimulating lymph circulation through the organism.

Present throughtout the body tissues are fine lymphatic vessels resembling a drainage system in which lymphatic fluids are carried to the blood circulation via large resevoirs called lymph nodes. Manual Lymphatic Drainage has proven particualy successful in the case of stagnation of lymphatic flow, which often occurs following abdominal surgery for mastrocarcinoma. It is only by means of the smooth and harmonious massage involved in Manual Lymphatic Drainage that lymphatic flow in the sensitive lymphatic capillaries can be stimulated, so as to remove painful swelling and promote healing. This method has proved successful through many years of practical application.

This is aimed at attending practitioners and masseurs, as well as the medical nursing service.
