Originally developed in Australia, the Bowen Technique is a hands off, hands on treatment. The therapist uses their thumbs or fingers in certain points around the body, making rolling type moves over the soft tissue - muscle, tendon, ligament - and inbetween each set of moves, leaves room to allow a response to take effect. The first book written on this subject, it is fully illustrated with photographs and line drawings. It includes the history of bowen, and guides the reader through the various techniques involved. The book is intended as a reference guide whilst the student is being professionally taught.
